Labor Skills Workshop is a place where we bring the body back into birth.
Learn practical labor skills to move, breathe, and stay comfortable during childbirth. This hands-on workshop teaches labor positions, movement techniques, and comfort measures for birthing parents and their partners. Explore coping tools, gain confidence, and feel empowered as you prepare for a natural, supported, and active birth experience. Ideal for first-time parents, couples, and anyone looking to feel more prepared for labor and delivery.
In this class, we will cover:
🌀 Simple anatomy that helps you understand what your body is doing
🌀 Learn how your baby moves through the pelvis
🌀 Practice ways to align your body for birth
🌀 Explore labor positions and movement that bring relief and progress
🌀 Use hands-on comfort measures for support
🌀 Learn practical tools and techniques for coping with labor
🌀 Build confidence in yourself and your support person for birth day

Investment: $65 per class (includes the birthing parent and one support person)
What to bring:
Classes are held at Sanctuary Studio, fully equipped with all laboring tools and props for hands-on practice. Light snacks and beverages are provided—just bring a water bottle and wear comfortable clothes so you can move and practice freely!
*Each class requires at least three participants to run. If the minimum isn’t reached, we’ll let you know and offer the option of a private class so you won’t miss out.

Kat Stangler is a certified birth and postpartum doula as well as a childbirth educator with over six years of experience supporting families through the transformative journey of birth. She believes birth is an active, embodied process, and that movement, breath, touch, and positioning are powerful tools parents can use to feel comforted, confident, and supported.
With a hands-on, compassionate approach, Kat guides parents and their partners in learning practical skills, exploring options, and trusting their bodies—helping each family move through labor with intention, confidence, and care.
Kat uses stories, humor, and evidence-based information make the learning engaging and memorable, so you leave feeling confident, prepared, and empowered—not overwhelmed!
